Course description: The IPM in Multifamily Housing Course was designed to help housing professionals understand their roles in supporting safe and effective pest control in their communities. The course outlines:
- how to manage pests within a housing community using strategies that pose no risk or minimum risk of pesticide exposure;
- the major health risks posed by common pests;
- the biology and behavior of the major pests of housing (bed bugs, cockroaches and rodents);
- the most effective control measures for each of the pests covered in the training;
- and how to troubleshoot pest control failures.
If 5 or more staff members from the same HUD-assisted housing site (public housing authority/commission, section 8, 202, 811, or tribal housing department) complete the course we'll send you a box of pest control supplies including printed resident resources, traps, and monitors. If you have less than 5 staff members, let us know!
