The Fund for Public Health in New York (FPHNY) on behalf of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced pest management professionals (PMP) to provide integrated pest management (IPM) services throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Selected PMPs will reduce exposure to asthma triggers via provision of IPM services in the homes of individuals with asthma through:
· Targeted application of low toxicity pesticides to address cockroach and mouse infestations
· Removal of pest evidence, including cockroach and mouse excreta and bodies via use of steam cleaners, HEPA vacuums, and detergents
· Sealing of cracks, crevices, and holes <4 inches in diameter to prevent pest entry and harborage
· Excluding pest entry and limiting pest movement via the installation of escutcheon plates, exclusion mesh, and other pest-proof barriers
Companies interested in participating in this opportunity are asked to send one representative with knowledge of your company’s experience and capacity to a two-hour meeting at the DOHMH’s Manhattan headquarters on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. The meeting will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at 125 Worth Street in the 3rd Floor Boardroom. Please be sure to bring a photo ID and enter on Centre Street or Lafayette Street. Upon arrival, please proceed to the front of the line and inform security that you are attending the IPM Bidder’s Conference in the 3rd Floor Boardroom.
Please see this website (The Fund for Public Health NY grant opportunities page) or the RFP (IPM in NYC Homes With Pest Infestations) for full application details. Proposal responses must be submitted electronically and be emailed to the following address no later than August 17, 2016 at 11:59 pm EST.
